ginger coons was born in 1987. Much of her early life is lost to history. Things started picking up in grade school. Crazy ideas were thought up, schemes were hatched, even if they never got off the ground. Drawings were drawn, clothing for teddy bears was sewn. Short stories were written, things were done. It was a generally unremarkable time, but full of ideas that were interesting mainly because they were unattainable.

The teen years were more interesting, because they saw the birth of Read This Know This, the first zine ever produced by ginger coons. Those were the activist years. Those were also the years of flux, of having no idea what the future would be.

Things solidified when ginger coons moved to Montreal for university. But really, most of the important stuff that happened there is documented elsewhere on this website. And actually, there's a much better life story in the "law school letters" section. Go and read that.
